Terms of Service

By using nodeApp, you agree to these terms. They're short on purpose.

Effective: April 26, 2026

1.Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and nodeApp (operated by Sulieman Vidal). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2.Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use nodeApp. By signing up, you confirm that you are 18 or older. If we discover the account belongs to a minor, we will terminate it and delete all associated data.

3.Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• One person, one account. Do not share login credentials.
• Notify us immediately at hello@nodeapp.us if you suspect unauthorized access.

4.Single active group

You may participate in only one active group at a time, either as Leader or Follower. To join a new group, your existing group must have ended (expired or been deleted) or you must leave it.

5.Group lifecycle

• Groups have a default 7-day lifecycle, extendable by the Leader up to 30 days.
• At expiry, all group content becomes read-only.
• 24 hours after expiry, all group content is permanently deleted.
• Manual deletion by the Leader triggers a 1-hour grace period with countdown, then hard delete.

6.Your content

You own your content. Photos, messages, task notes, and other content you post remain yours. You grant nodeApp a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of operating the App for you and your group.

This license terminates automatically when your content is deleted (at group expiry, manual deletion, or account deletion).

7.Acceptable use

You agree not to use nodeApp to:

• Harass, threaten, defame, or impersonate others
• Share illegal content (CSAM, stolen IP, terrorism, etc.)
• Distribute malware, phishing links, or fraudulent content
• Coordinate illegal activity
• Circumvent the 18+ age gate or single-group rule
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the App's operation

We may remove violating content and suspend or terminate offending accounts at our discretion.

8.Termination

You may delete your account at any time from inside the App or by emailing hello@nodeapp.us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on severity.

9.Disclaimers

nodeApp is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." We make no warranty that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific needs. Use of the App is at your own risk.

nodeApp is a coordination tool, not a safety service. Do not rely on it for emergency communication.

10.Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, nodeApp and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.

11.Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.

12.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app and the effective date above will be updated. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance.
